Goal 2- Strong and Growing membership

WAGGGS supports its Member Organizations to build capacity to have more impact on their individual members and their communities. Improving the quality of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting at all levels is key to recruiting and retaining membership, enabling more girls and young women to take part in leadership and self development and to help build a better world.

WAGGGS monitors the performance of each Member Organization through the Performance Assessment process which focuses on the following areas:

• Adult training
• Educational programmes
• Structure and Management of associations
• Relationship with Society
• Membership
• Financial Management

As well as these specific capacity building programmes, WAGGGS supports its Member Organizations to better engage with girls and young women, to continually assess the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting experience to ensure it addresses the needs and aspirations of the girls and young women of today. By understanding and responding to youth culture, WAGGGS and Member Organizations are better able to empower girls and young women to strive for personal growth and truly to discover their potential.
