The projects I am working on at home related to CSW are…

Girls Attitudes Surveys through the Advocate panel, finding out about girls perceptions towards marriage & families, speaking up about causes, careers advice for certain careers, particularly careers in STEM, such as engineering.

At my Advocate meeting in September 2011 we discussed the WAGGGS End Violence Against Women Campaign and how effective GGUK (Advocate panel) thought the message was etc.

Hopefully a project with my Brownie/Senior Section unit soon!

If I could give one message to girls and young women across the world it would be…

Keep up the excellent work, you're aiming in the right direction and you can definitely make a change with your voice!

I love to meet new people!

I volunteer as much as I can. I try to make a difference and raise awareness on many issues within several organizations

I have strong morals and values, and make an effort to accept everyone.

The projects I am working on at home related to CSW are…

I am a Pathfinder leader, and involved with Sparks, Brownies and Guides in my community. Through our programme work I try to help the girls and young women in my community understand how special they are, and how they can make a difference in their community. Together with the other leaders in my community we try to raise awareness about what girls and women are facing in other countries and communities as well.

In my own rural community, I support programme initiatives, especially those for girls and women.

Within my rural church community I am a strong advocate and educator of human rights and responsibilities in general. We do focus on societal and political issues those in developing countries are facing. Along with my leadership team, we organize guest speakers, retreats, conferences and youth nights to deliver this information. 

I was in India for 3 months participating in the Community Volunteer Programme. While I was there I was involved with Deep Griha Society, Ishwari, Maher and other Non-Governmental Organizations. I was able to work with these organizations in youth and women empowerment programmes. These included; education classes, tailoring classes, health education, and agriculture education.

If I could give one message to girls and young women across the world it would be…

A small change by one person can truly make a difference. It is these small changes together that make a revolution - as the Blessed Mother Teresa said: "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love."

The projects I am working on at home related to CSW are…

www.soroco.org.uk – Speak Out, Reach Out, Camp Out - Inspiring, informing and empowering others to fight for gender equality through the Millennium Development Goals. This project was set up after my experience at the Young Women’s World Forum in 2010 to encourage my peers in the UK to also take action on these important issues and it uses the internet for the majority of the project so that people can take part regardless of where they live.

I am also involved with promoting ‘Together We Can’, a resource produced by Girlguiding UK to help all our members take action on the Millennium Development Goals.

If I could give one message to girls and young women across the world it would be…

Never give up. If you really want to achieve something - keep trying, you will get there in the end!

Stop Violence Against Girls by project malawi, Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention by Among Young People by FORUT and the Environmental Community Action mini-project by Malawi Girl Guides Association (MAGGA).

If I could give one message to girls and young women across the world it would be...

SAY NO! To competions with opposite sex, temptations of drug- and alcohol-taking and pre-marital sex to conquer stresses and problems of the modern world.

I am a responsible person, I always keen to learn something and everything in life, and I always smile.

The projects I am working on at home related to CSW is…

The project is called “Valuing Girls” and is held every year by girl guides in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with the help of Eileen Smith, an accredited Trainer from the UK. During the school holidays in April, we recruit girls from hill tribes aged between 8 and 17 years old to come to the training center and enjoy guiding activities, and at the same time learn many skills. We also provide them with vocational training such as sewing and artwork. The project introduces the girls to seven key messages on adolescent pregnancy, drugs, healthy eating, smoking, HIV, sex and discovering your potential.

If I could give one message to girls and young women across the world it would be…

Be proud of yourself, keep dreaming and start achieving your dreams by taking actions! Because "success requires action, without action, those dreams of success are only fantasies".
