During 16 Days Sangam provide a safe space for community members to discuss the issue of violence against women and girls by hosting Dr Mune’s Green Tara Foundation seminar. The event discussed the new domestic violence law in India. 50 women from the community attended the seminar where they heard from a guest speaker who was a local lawyer. The guest spoke about the definition of domestic violence and what steps you can take if you or someone you know is being physically or verbally assaulted by a family member.
